11/15/2017 7:00 AM Ahlsell acquires work-protection wholesaler in the Värmland-region

Ahlsell Sverige AB has signed an agreement to acquire the operations of Gehås AB with annual sales of approximately MSEK 15.

Gehås sells work-protection clothes, profile products, stationery and office supplies in Värmland, Sweden, and has two stores; one in Arvika and one in Årjäng. The stores sell mostly well-known branded goods within workwear and clothing. The company is privately owned and has six employees. Customers are mainly corporates and municipalities.

"The acquisition of the Gehås operations will further strengthen our presence in Värmland within personal protective equipment and profile clothing. We see a good development within the product category and will be able to meet customer demand even better in the future.", says Johan Nilsson, President and CEO of Ahlsell AB.

The operations in Gehås will be integrated into the Ahlsell Group and the acquisition is expected to be closed in the beginning of December. The acquisition is expected to have a minor positive impact on the Group's earnings for 2018.
