12/15/2017 7:00 AM Ahlsell continues to grow within personal protective equipment in Sweden
Ahlsell Sverige AB has signed an agreement to acquire Safe Workwear Sweden AB (Safe Workwear) with annual sales of approximately MSEK 24.
Safe Workwear has two branches, one in Stockholm and one in Strängnäs, west of Stockholm. The company was founded in 1997 and sells mainly well-known brands in workwear and personal protection to companies and municipalities. Safe Workwear is privately owned and has nine employees.
"We see a long-term high demand for PSU products (Personal Protective Equipment). This year we have made several acquisitions that strengthen our ability to provide our customers with the best range of workwear and work-protection in the market. The acquisition of Safe Workwear strengthens our presence in both Stockholm and the region of Mälardalen. Increased presence is a part of our strategy to always be close to the customer.", says Claes Seldeby, Head of operations in Sweden.
Closing is planned for end December. The acquisition is expected have a marginal positive impact on the Group's earnings for 2018.
